What We Believe
About the Bible: The Bible is God's inerrant word to us. Given from God to human authors, it is absolutely true and trustworthy.
About God: There is one true and living God. He is the Creator of the universe and has eternally existed as three persons who are co-equal.
About Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is God's Son. He lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He was hung on a cross, died, was buried, and rose again three days later to demonstrate His power over sin and death.
About the Holy Spirit: He is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and is the giver of spiritual gifts to each believer.
About human beings: We are made in God's image, to be like Him as the supreme object of His creation. Although every person has the potential for good, all of us are marred by sin that separates us from God.
About salvation: It is God's free gift, but we must accept it. Only by trusting Christ's offer of forgiveness can we be saved from our sins. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ in our lives by faith.
About eternal security: Salvation is maintained by the grace and sustaining power of God, not the self-effort of the Christian. A true believer cannot lose his salvation.
